Alleyn’s School recently hosted its second TEDxAllyen’s School Youth event – a celebration of ideas worth sharing and the power of human connection.
On the theme of Connection, 33 incredible speakers including current pupils, staff, parents and alumni took to the stage to share their bold ideas and unique perspectives, uncovering the many ways connections shape our society, technology, science, culture, and identity.
Head of Alleyn’s, Jane Lunnon, who heads up the Alleyn’s Schools Group, delivered a fascinating talk on the origins of language and its power to connect us all, while Guy Collins-Down, the Group’s Chief Operating Officer, brought over 20 years of educational environmental design knowledge to present a future for connected school environments, with both its opportunities and pitfalls.
Part of our Aspiring Minds programme and co-ordinated by Alleyn’s Schools Group’s Aidan Sproat-Clements, the TEDxAlleyn’s School Youth event aims to explore new ways of understanding the world around us and foster learning, inspiration and profound conversations that empower us to be All We Can Be as a community.
